Some lawyers have very narrow areas of practice and will not venture out of their niche. Other lawyers limit themselves to one or two broad strokes, such as criminal or insurance defense, but will take on any kind of case within that broad category. There are lots of divorce lawyers in Brunswick that fall into this category. Some attorneys call themselves “dirt lawyers” in that they will handle anything that involves land – real estate closings, title examinations, quiet title actions, condemnations, land line disputes and so on. Still others, mostly those that advertise on television and on billboards, are only interested in contingency fee cases.
Mr. Sowerby is none of those. He is a jack of all trades – – – well not all trades. No bankruptcies, real estate closings, social security claims, DUI’s, speeding tickets or other criminal defense work; but if it is a civil matter that could end up in a federal or Georgia courtroom, he can probably help you. From torts to contracts, from civil liberties to custody, from termites to fraud, from workers compensation to probate, from trials to appeals, it is the wide variety of cases that Mr. Sowerby loves! The more difficult or unusual, the better.
